Our Harvest Memories Wine Club event was one for the books! From a friendly grape stomp competition to an engaging harvest talk in the vineyard, our members joined us for a fun evening. We’re looking back at all the highlights.
An Evening of Togetherness
The evening began with a heartfelt toast. Glasses of our Sempre Sparkling Wine were raised in gratitude for our members, the hard work behind the wines during harvest season and the joy of gathering together. From there, the celebration continued with live music, a beautiful harvest table filled with seasonal foods to enjoy and a special passport that guided members to various stations throughout the evening. Each stop offered an interactive way to taste wine and learn about harvest.
Harvest Time in the Vineyard
As the sun was setting, members had the pleasure of strolling through the vineyard with Chris Colaneri. While everyone sipped on the current vintage of Pensieri Merlot, Chris shared an insightful behind-the-scenes perspective on what it takes to bring each vintage to life, covering weather challenges, timing decisions and the care that goes into every cluster of grapes. The walk was both educational and inspiring, offering a rare opportunity to see harvest through the eyes of someone deeply connected to the winery.
Past vs. Present Tasting
At another station, guests explored how our wines evolve over time by comparing the 2011 Insieme Red Blend with its current release. It was a fascinating way to experience the layers of character, depth and maturity that only time can reveal.
Present & Future Tasting
For those curious about what’s to come, our Present & Future tasting was a standout. Members compared the current 2023 Cavallone Pinot Grigio with a sample pulled straight from the barrel, getting a rare preview of what lies ahead in the cellar. The 2024 Cavallone Pinot Grigio will be released some time in late 2026.
Grape Stomp Competition
Guests stepped right into tradition with the grape stomp, rolling up their pants and stomping away in this friendly competition! Everyone embraced this playful nod to winemaking history. Congratulations to Michael who completed the challenge in the fastest time! After stomping for one minute and 44 seconds, he took home a keepsake trophy and a special bottle of 2011 Insieme Red Blend from our private cellar.
All Smiles at the Photo Booth
Members captured the fun and memories of the evening at our photo booth. Each member took home a keepsake Polaroid picture, which will serve as a reminder of the season spent together at the winery.
